Phansaa,2011

Phansaa

13th July 2011 : Phansaa, derived from Vassa, meaning “rainy season” in the Pali language, marks the 3 months during which Buddhist monks subject themselves to the discipline of intensive study in their temples. According to Buddha’s teaching, it is more beneficial for monks to confine themselves to their temples throughout the rainy season than propagating Buddhist Dhamma in their communities.
The DPF kindergarten observes the spirit of Phansaa by giving alms to Buddhist monks at their kindergarten.
